Warder Irina kept blinking furiously as she surveyed the battlefield, wondering if some kind of ailment had befallen her eyes, or whether an alchemical irritant had been deployed against them by the Eastern strangers. Try as she might, she kept seeing specks of darkness flit across her field of vision in chaotic swirls and eddies, irritating and distracting her. It was only when she found directing her magic against the sinister engine stalking towards her an unexpected struggle that she realised that her discomfort had a far more dangerous cause, but of course by then it was already much too late…”

This light Iosan myrmidon, a variant of the Gorgon, appears exceptionally sinister, perhaps not dissimilar to the infamous Moros. But while non-Gifted individuals mainly think they occasionally glimpse shadows flitting about the myrmidon before being sucked into its arcanikal nodes, those with the Gift know that the Haros is constantly – and ravenously – absorbing ambient arcane energies. Even Iosan warcasters seem uncomfortable about this, and not even the most hardened members of the Retribution have ever been observed having more than one of these myrmidons in their battlegroups. Even more disturbingly, Iosan Seekers have hinted that the construction of the Haros would never have been sanctioned by Ios, and that they have been produced in secret by sinister forces stalking the shadows of their homeland.

Melee Armament: Disbinder Glaive (Left Arm, Right Arm; POW 4, POW+S 12; Magical Weapon. While neither of the Haros’s Arm systems is crippled, a Haros can make a combo attack with both of its glaives simultaneously, using both of the myrmidon’s initial attacks to make a single devastating strike. Make a melee attack roll. On a hit, make a damage roll with a POW equal to the STR of the myrmidon plus twice the POW of this weapon)

Ranged Armament: Void Ray (RNG 10, POW 10, Magical Weapon, Mage Killer: Attacks with this weapon gain an additional damage die against characters who can cast spells. The Void Ray may be fired once per activation)

Cortex: Iosan aurum-grade equivalent (INT 2, PER 2)

Power Field: 6 boxes

Arcane Defenses: This character gains +3 ARM against magic damage rolls.

Arcane Disruptor: This character always has concealment against magic attacks.

Disbinder: When this character hits an enemy with a melee attack or ranged attack, upkeep spells on the target character immediately expire.

Field-Dependent: When this character’s Field Generator system (G) is crippled, this character loses Arcane Defenses, Arcane Disruptor and Disbinder, and can no longer make Void Ray ranged attacks.

Open Fists: Both of the Haros’s arm systems are equipped with light myrmidon fists.

Peak Operational Duration: 2.5 hrs combat
