Reading the Rules for Spray in MK4 it would seem in the example in the book, a Spray targeting the first model you ignore the in Melee bonus due to the “Pistol” rule, but then B would get the in Melee bonus based on the wording.
In MK3 Sprays ignored in Melee bonus at all times and there was a thread back in May talking about this, but it seems the rules in the books were never updated. Anyone got updates on this string or thoughts?
At the moment, the wording has not changed. So, if you have Pistol and target a model you are in melee with, you gain the benefit on all attacks.
What about the model behind the model you’re shooting who is in melee with another model. Does it get -4 in melee bonus? That’s what I"m getting at here. 2 and 3 models deep in the congo line, do they get in melee bonus if shooting model is not in melee with them?
As long as you are targeting a model you are in melee with, the pistol benefit will apply to all attacks.

Just a note that this was clarified elsewhere: the Pistol advantage only applies against models in melee with the attacker.
