With the discontinuation of some of the back catalog models will some of the models in Riot Quest be discontinued ? Will some be switched to 3D printing ?
Hard to say? They’ve expressed interest in support for the game going forward. My best guess is we’ll be looking at some form of a release in board game plastic, but not entirely sure

The last I heard about RQ it sounded like they were looking in to ways to continue it as more of a board game, but they needed to make a new plan after the Kickstarter for the board game didn’t work out. I believe the Insider about production ending did mention that existing RQ stuff would get converted to the new printing at some point but I’m not 100% sure about that.

I think they KS flopped because for a 4 player box you got four copies of the same crew. p would have been cooler to do two different crews and then you buy expansion boxes for 3rd and 4th player.
In each box you could be basically include a lore update.
Not only that, but they were already existing models, making it extra unattractive for veteran Riot Quest players. Matt Wilson wrote a pretty thorough and honest analysis on what went wrong with the project back then.
