A repost of another ranged head-mounted weapon for steamjacks, this time spewing flames instead of projectiles:

“Firebreather” flamethrower(Heavy Steamjack only)

Description: a small flamethrower mounted in a jacks head where its mouth should be if it were a non distorted living being, normally it mounts its fuel and propellant tanks on its hull since jacks normally don’t have enough space inside for those

Special rules: This weapon can only be fired once per round

This weapon deals fire damage type.

On a critical hit, the characters hit, receive the fire continuous effect.
if the warjack with this weapon is critically hit if there was at least a spray left, roll a D6 on a result of 1-2 the tanks explode, center on this jack a 3” AoE template models underneath suffers a POW 12 fire damage roll + 1 per spray there was on the tank

Mounting a “Firebreather” flamethrower on a steamjack requires the proper tools, two hours of labor, and a successful INT + Mechanikal Engineering roll against a target number of 14. If the roll fails, it can be repeated after another hour of labor.

Paying to have a “Firebreather” flamethrower mounted on a steamjack costs an additional 150 gc.

Each spray of the “Firebreather” flamethrower costs 10 gc,a new tank costs 15 Gc, takes thirty minutes to change the tanks outside of combat, and can be done by any character with mekanical engineering.
